PRODUCED BY WAYFARER ENTERTAINMENT, and DIRECTED and executive produced BY FARHOUD MEYBODI.
Junk food was created in partnership with the Ad Council, NRDC, and Hope Street Group to highlight the food waste crisis in America. It featured jane the virgin’s brett dier and two michelin star chef, josiah citrin, as they kick off a social experiment aimed at unsuspecting members of the public.
The national campaign was supported by a range of partners and aired in every major market across the country for over two years. Junk Food was a foundational part of the “Save the Food” initiative, which educated people on excessive food waste in the US and to promote more sustainable food practices.
